LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University baseball team was a nightmare for the Lourdes pitching staff on Saturday afternoon, putting up 29 runs and 35 hits in the doubleheader. The Crusaders won 12-0 in game one before taking the nightcap by a score of 17-3, improving to 31-17 overall and 16-6 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.

The Crusaders set the tone early, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning thanks to five hits (three singles and two doubles) and a Gray Wolves error

A sacrifice fly would give the Crusaders a 5-0 lead before Gordon Ferguson smacked a home run over the left field wall in the top of the sixth for a 7-0 lead

A double by Jalen Thomas, sacrifice fly by Nick Sykes, and RBI groundout by Noah Moore would round out the scoring for a 12-0 mercy in the eighth
