LIVONIA, Mich. – The second-ranked Madonna University men's lacrosse team fell to Lawrence Technological University 14-11 on senior day at the Madonna Athletics Complex on Saturday in a heavy downpour for most of the contest. With the loss the Crusaders are the No. 4 seed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament and will host No. 5 seed Siena Heights University on Tuesday, April 23 at 2 p.m.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Tyler Kilar traded a pair of goals with the Blue Devils before the visitors from Southfield scored three straight for a 5-2 advantage. Ian Rush cut the deficit to three before the first period expired then added a pair of man-up goals to being the second and tie the score.
  • Ryan Flaherty put the Crusaders in front, but LTU added two more for the 7-6 advantage before Kilar tied the game just before the half.
  • Lawrence Tech put up three goals in the first six minutes of the third period before Jordan Davis and Harry Dyson scored in the final 1:22 of the period to make it a one score game, 10-9.
  • The Blue Devils scored three goals in the first four minutes of the fourth and the Crusaders, who got a pair of man-up goals from Dyson and Davis, ran out of time to comeback in the 14-11 loss.

  • 49-26: Madonna attempted 49 shots and put 26 on goal while Lawrence Tech took 48 shots with 24 on goal
