MARIETTA, Ga. – The Madonna University women's lacrosse team dropped their second consecutive game on Friday afternoon, falling to Life University by a score of 15-5. The Blue and Gold fall to 1-2 on the season while Life improves to 5-1.

• A 5-1 run in favor of LU to end the first half, extending the Crusaders deficit to five goals

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Brittany Leist (2), Christy Battersby (2) and Madison Kadwell (1) rounded out the scoring for MU

• Eloise Wilber played all 60 minutes for the Blue and Gold, allowing 15 goals and making 12 saves

• Battersby started the scoring for MU at the 23:17 mark before Leist and Battersby added a goal each before the end of the half

• The second half played out similarly to the first, as the Crusaders were only able to find the back of the net twice

• MU was out-shot 20-34 in the contest, sending 13 on frame compared to 27 for the Eagles

• Madonna committed 28 turnovers in the loss

• The Crusaders dominated draw controls, taking 12 of 20

• The Eagles picked up 29 ground balls while MU picked up 16
