LIVONIA, Mich. – The Madonna University women's lacrosse team used a 9-1 second half to pull away from Lindenwood University - Belleville for a 16-5 win at the Madonna Athletics Complex on a chilly, snowy Saturday afternoon.
The win ties the single season program wins record and is the Crusaders' second home win in program history.

- An 8-0 Madonna run to begin the second half
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Blue and Gold rushed out to a 2-0 lead in the first three minutes and outscored the Lynx 5-4 the rest of the half
- Christy Battersby scored three of the Crusaders seven first half goals
- Madonna opened the final 30 minutes with eight unanswered goals to play the final 22 minutes of the contest with a running clock
- Five different Crusaders scored in the run which included three from Battersby and a pair from Valarie Patterson

- 39-10: Shots in the contest as Madonna outshot Lindenwood University - Belleville by 29 in the contest
