FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Madonna University women's basketball team was not able to withstand the high powered offense of NAIA No. 3 Indiana Tech University on Saturday afternoon as they fell by a score of 73-37 to their undefeated Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent.
The Crusaders jumped out to an early 6-2 lead in the first four minutes of play, although the only MU lead of the game did not last long as the Warriors responded with a 15-5 run to end the first quarter for a 17-11 lead. The Warriors more than doubled the Crusaders offensive output in the second quarter, grabbing a 32-18 lead at halftime. Despite a 13 point third quarter, the Crusaders were not able to find an answer for the Warriors offense in the second half.

Madonna shot just 2-for-12 (16.7%) from the 3-point arc and 11-for-45 (24.4%) from field goal range while the Warriors shot 11-of-38 (28.9%) from deep and 24-of-68 (35.3%) from the field.
