SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Nothing seemed to go right for the Madonna University women's basketball team on Wednesday night as they suffered their worst defeat of the season, 121-39, to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Lawrence Technological University.

After the Crusaders tied the score at two, the Blue Devils scored the next 11 points and had a 17-point, 25-8 lead after one quarter. Madonna had a promising second quarter as the offense netted 14 points, but the home team dropped 30 and took a 55-22 lead into the half. It was all LTU in the second half of the loss.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS

• Sheldon Bochenek led the Crusaders with 13 points while Sydney Brown netted eight and tied for the team lead with four rebounds. Julia Bogart and Ashleigh Ringstad also grabbed four boards with the former adding six points.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Madonna went 0-for-9 from the 3-point arc while the Blue Devils converted 18-of-33 (54.5%) chances
• The Blue and Gold were outrebounded by 50 (52-22) and outscored in the paint 50-18
• Fourth time this season the Crusaders have been held below 40 points in a contest
