FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 24th-ranked Madonna University men's soccer team saw its seven-game win streak come to an end in a 1-0 loss to Indiana Tech at the Warrior Athletic Field on Wednesday night.
The Crusaders (8-3-0, 3-1-0 WHAC) dominated possession and had numerous opportunities throughout the night, but they couldn't break through. The Warriors (7-3-1, 3-0-1 WHAC) on the other hand took the lead early as Erick Turner headed home a cross in the box from Joseph Nash for what proved to be the game-winner.
The Blue and Gold dominated play in the second half, with 12 shots to the home teams five, but the Warriors packed the box on defense and forced MU to play in limited space. Six of those 12 shots were on frame, but the Warriors' keeper was up to the task as MU was shut out for the first time in 2018.
