SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Madonna University volleyball team saw its three-game win streak come to an end in a four-set loss to Lawrence Technological University at Don Ridler Field House on Wednesday night. The loss, the first for the Crusaders in 13 meetings with the Blue Devils, drops Madonna to 22-10 on the year and 11-8 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play while LTU move to 21-10 overall and 14-5 in league action.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Madonna won the first set, 25-17, and hit .308 in the game to LTU's .059, but the home team won the next three sets, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-19. The Crusaders outhit the Blue Devils in the match .181 to .172, but the home team tallied more aces (8-7), blocks (12-9), assists (45-35) and digs (65-61).

Jodie Kelly was the lone Crusader to tally double-digit kills as she finished with 15 and hit .204

Lauren Korth tallied 26 assists to go with 12 digs and five kills, she also had four service aces

Erica LaBaere and Taylor Suurmeyer each added nine kills while Suurmeyer tallied four blocks while Nyla Greer led the Crusaders with five blocks

Alyssa Facione paced the defensive back line with 17 digs
