DiPonio joined the Madonna baseball staff in early 2023 as a graduate assistant. Prior to joining the baseball staff he was a part of the Crusader football program as a member of the coaching staff.Â
In his first season on the baseball staff, the Crusaders finished 36-17 overall and won the WHAC Tournament Championship. DiPonio helped coach six players to First Team All-WHAC honors. Madonna made an appearance in the NAIA Tournament, defeating the University of St. Francis (Ill.) before falling to top-ranked Southeastern (Fla.) and Central Methodist University.Â
With the football staff, DiPonio assisted cornerback Cortland Cochran and linebacker Jakel Davis to MSFA Mideast League Honorable Mention accolades.
DiPonio played four years of college baseball, including two years at Madonna following two years at Schoolcraft College. The Livonia native serves as the head travel baseball coach for the Precision Patriots, along with being on the football staff at Dearborn Divine Child High School. Â
