LIVONIA, Mich. - Basile Lozachmeur completed a hat trick in a span of 7 minutes, 6 seconds early in the second half as Madonna pulled away for an 8-0 victory over Rochester Christian on Sept. 26. The Crusaders scored six times after halftime, improving to 4-3-2 overall and 2-0-0 in conference play.
Lucas Schoenberger put Madonna in front at 17:23, finishing a pass from Onishi Haraki for the opening goal. Rochester Christian kept the margin at one for much of the first half, but Cynric Jacob doubled the Crusaders' advantage at 41:53 after receiving an assist from Joan Arnau. Madonna entered halftime with a 2-0 lead and a firm grip on possession and scoring chances.
Lozachmeur turned that advantage into a rout shortly after the break. He scored from a Pedro Zucchi assist at 47:55, connected again at 50:23 following a setup by Alex Peytoureau and completed the hat trick at 55:01 off Jacob's pass. Lozachmeur produced seven shots, including four on goal, during his 42 minutes on the field.
Bernardo Teston continued the surge at 58:56, scoring with assists credited to Jacob and Haraki. Teston struck again at 67:37 to make it 7-0, finishing with two goals, five shots and four attempts on target in 33 minutes. Cristian Martinez closed the scoring at 73:10 from Valentin Welsch's assist. Jacob ended the match with one goal and two assists, while Haraki supplied two assists.
Madonna finished with a 33-3 advantage in shots, placed 20 attempts on goal and earned six corner kicks to Rochester Christian's one. The Crusaders did not allow a shot on target, with Afonso Henrique playing the first 71:47 and Oier Mendizabal handling the final 18:13 to complete the shared shutout. Rochester Christian's goalkeepers made 12 saves, but Madonna's sustained pressure and rapid second-half finishing secured the eight-goal conference victory.
