LIVONIA, Mich. -- In a stunning display of skill and coordination, the Madonna University Crusaders secured a victory against the Lourdes Grey Wolves on September 17, 2025, in Livonia, Mich. The match concluded with the Crusaders winning in straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-19, and 25-19.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first set saw the Crusaders establishing an early dominance, closing it at 25-15. Their performance was bolstered by consistent offensive plays and solid defense. The second and third sets followed a similar pattern, with Madonna maintaining its lead and ending both sets at 25-19.
Key players for Madonna included
Kira Buza and
Paige Caradonna, each contributing 10 kills.
Katie Mulka not only provided eight kills but also made a significant defensive impact with eight blocks, the highest in the match. The defense was further supported by
Gwen Clifford and
Alyviah Wright who contributed six and four blocks, respectively.
On the serving front,
Kem Donnelly led with three aces, helping to keep the Grey Wolves off balance. The digs were well-distributed with Donnelly again leading with nine, followed by
