Davenport, Iowa. – The Crusaders faced the Midland University Warriors to complete their two-game Iowa road trip. Madonna put their offensive skills on full display for the Warriors as the Crusaders would walk away with a 19-to-3 win over Midland.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders started out strong with a 2-to-0 lead against Midland by way of Zachary Lane and Andrew Marszalek. The two goal lead only lasted 18 seconds when Midland's Asher Thomas would strike with an unassisted goal.
 
For the reminder of the first quarter, the second quarter, and the third quarter, the Crusaders would go on to score a whopping 15 unanswered goals to give them a 16-goal lead. In that time span from goal number three to 17, 11 different Crusaders would score at least one goal. Carter Borsos would score three goals, Benjamin Reidy scored two, Lane would score two as well. Jackson Gradstein, Andrew Marszalek, Vincent Palumbo, Evan Bunch, Shane Alexander, Ethan Solis, Mark Chamblis, and Gavin Tubay would all contribute once in the time the Crusaders put up 15 goals.
 
In the fourth quarter Midland would strike twice to move their score to three, but the Crusaders would also strike twice with both Bunch and Solis picking up their second goals of the game. The Crusaders would win 19-to-3 and move to 4-1 on the season looking for a nice jump in the NAIA Top Ten Poll.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Madonna would protect the ball well with only 16 turnovers compared to Midland's 35.
• Madonna would go 21-for-21 on clears.
• The Crusaders out shot the Warriors 51-to-26.
• 13 different players registered at least one point for the Crusaders.

Madonna will compete officially on their home field on Friday, February 28, 2025, for a massive, ranked matchup when #3 University of Cumberlands comes to Livonia, Michigan. The game time is set for 2:00 PM.
