Crusaders Excel at WHAC Championships

ADRIAN, Mich.-- The Madonna University Men's Cross Country team, known as the Crusaders, delivered an outstanding performance at the WHAC Championships on November 7, 2025. The team secured a second-place finish in a competitive field, recording a cumulative time of 2:07:33.6 for their top five race times.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

Among notable individual performances, Mehdi Nait Hamoud led the Crusaders by clinching first place in the Men's Collegiate 8K with a remarkable time of 24:49.7. Following closely was Mohamed Salahed Ensaad, who finished with a time of 24:57.8, placing second. These top finishes were pivotal in securing the high team score. Other significant contributions came from Rayane Bacha, who finished eighth, Yasser Soualah in twenty-first place, and Nedjm Bensahnoun who closed in twenty-fourth position.

Rounding out the team's results at the WHAC Championships were Jamari Williams and Andrew Langkam, who placed thirty-seventh and thirty-ninth, respectively. The event saw challenging competition from teams such as Cornerstone, Aquinas, and Indiana Tech among others.

Looking ahead, the Crusaders are set to compete in the NAIA Nationals in Tallahassee, Fla., on November 21, 2025. This upcoming event will provide another platform for the team to showcase their talents on a national stage.
