LIVONIA, Mich.- On October 4, 2025, the Madonna University Crusaders faced a tough battle against the Marian (IN) Knights during a regular season football game at Stevenson HS in Livonia, Michigan. The afternoon weather was warm, setting ideal conditions for the game. Despite a robust attempt, Madonna ended the game with a final score of 58-7 in favor of Marian.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The game commenced with Marian (IN) quickly establishing dominance when Tristan Polk connected with Jameson Coverst for a stunning 62-yard touchdown pass. Madonna University responded vigorously when
Kwame Miller broke away for a 70-yard touchdown run, leveling the score at 7-7 in the first quarter. This early momentum, however, was short-lived as Marian continued to control the game, increasing their lead significantly by halftime with a score of 37-7.
Throughout the game,
Kwame Miller proved to be a standout player for Madonna, orchestrating a notable 70-yard touchdown. Miller ended the game with a total of 95 rushing yards from 10 attempts. Supporting the rushing efforts, Eric Thomas contributed an impressive 31 yards, including a vital 35-yard run. On the defensive end,
Mitch Nguyen led with 9 tackles, and
Colt Oyervidez notably forced and recovered a fumble, demonstrating the Crusaders' resilience under pressure.
