ADRIAN, Mich.-- In a challenging conference football game on October 25, 2025, the Madonna University Crusaders faced off against Siena Heights in Adrian, Mich., under partly cloudy skies. Despite a spirited performance, the Crusaders were overtaken by Siena Heights with a final score of 45-21.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The game commenced with Madonna showing early strength, closing the first quarter with a narrow trail at 7-6 following a touchdown by 
Eric Thomas Jr. from a 6-yard pass from 
Nathan Patterson. However, the momentum shifted significantly in the second and third quarters as the Crusaders struggled defensively, leading to a halftime score of 24-6 in favor of Siena Heights.
In the fourth quarter, Madonna mounted a vigorous comeback attempt, scoring two more touchdowns: 
JJ Lamphere captured a 40-yard pass from Patterson, and 
Terrell Smith caught a 5-yard pass from Patterson. Despite their efforts, the ability to recover from the earlier setbacks was limited. Defensive efforts were led by 
Shaun Roberts (DE), 
Corey Watkins (LB) with 2 tackles, and others including 
Ray Pritchett and 
Mitch Nguyen contributing significantly with multiple tackles and defensive plays.

Madonna University's current season record moves to 1-7. Looking ahead, the Crusaders will host Lawrence Tech University on November 1, 2025, in Livonia, Mich., aiming for a comeback in their home territory.
