Crusaders Fall to Warriors in Five on the road

In a thrilling conference volleyball match held on October 10, 2025, at Garth Pleasant Arena in Rochester Hills, Michigan, the Madonna University Crusaders Volleyball Team faced off against the Rochester Christian Warriors. The five-set battle saw the Crusaders narrowly losing with a final score of Madonna University 2, Rochester Christian 3.

The match commenced fiercely with the Crusaders falling slightly short in the first set 23-25. They, however, bounced back in the second and third sets, winning 25-21 and 25-16 respectively, demonstrating a solid performance and strong team dynamics. The fourth set was closely contested but eventually went to the Warriors, 22-25. The deciding fifth set saw the Warriors dominate, securing the match with a 15-7 win.

Key players for Madonna University included Kira Buza, who led the team with an impressive 24 kills and also contributed 12 digs, 2 aces, and 1 assist. Gwen Clifford and Hope Schriber supported well with 9 kills each, and Clifford added 3 blocks and 1 dig.
