LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Madonna University men's soccer team competed in their fifth contest of the season as they faced the visiting Taylor University Trojans.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders entered the game 3-0-1 on the season looking to add to their undefeated season thus far. The first half had the Crusaders and Trojans going back and forth earning multiple scoring chances but felt short of putting a score on the board. In the first half of play the Crusaders put on the pressure early by having seven shots, putting one on goal and limiting the Trojans to no shots.
During the second half, the Crusaders and Trojans were looking to break the ice in scoring, but nothing came out of it. The Crusaders kept the pressure from the first half on by securing nine more shots and three on goal. Trojans' goalie, Connor Shaw, saved four shots in total while the Crusader goalie, Alfonso Henrique, had zero saves recorded. The game ended in a 0-0 draw putting the Crusaders at 3-0-2 on the 2024 season.

- Crusaders outshot the Trojans 16-2 and 4-0 on goal
- Madonna won the corner kick battle 9-6
- Jordy Lopez had three of the Crusaders four shots on goal
