Saints hold off Crusaders

ADRIAN, Mich. -  The Crusaders' Women's Lacrosse team headed to the middle of the state for the final game of their four-game road stretch against the Siena Heights Saints. The Saints took an early lead but the Crusaders were able to get back some points in the second half. The Saints would go on to take a 12-3 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Saints got off to a hot start with eight straight goals in the first half. With just over three minutes remaining in the first half, sophomore Ri O'Connor got the Crusaders on the board for the first time. The Saints would score once more before the break, leading 9-1 at halftime.

The first goal of the second half would come from junior Katie Potter, unassisted. The Saints would go on a three goal run in response, but the Crusaders' would get the final goal of a game with an unassisted strike from freshman Leah Kendall. The Saints would take a 12-3 victory over the Crusaders.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Potter, O'Connor, and Kendall each scored one goal.
  • Goalkeeper Hannah Dickson had 12 saves.
UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will return home next to face the No. 1 ranked Lawrence Tech Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd.
