LIVONIA, Mich. - The Crusaders returned to the field to face the Trine University Thunder. While the Thunder would have their number for a majority of play, senior midfielder
Jasmine Stringham stepped up big for the Crusaders, scoring three goals on three shots, a career-high and for her and her first ever hat trick. Stringham now joins senior
Mia Dyson as the only active Crusaders to score a hat trick in a game. Despite Stringham's career performance, the Crusaders would fall to the Thunder 18-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Thunder would score first just twelve seconds into play. Senior midfielder
Jasmine Stringham would answer with her first goal of the day less than thirty seconds later. Junior attack
Sydney Pattinson and senior midfielder
Mia Dyson would also contribute goals in the first quarter, as the Thunder led 4-3 after one quarter.
To open up the second quarter, sophomore
Madi Conrad would score her first career goal off of an assist from sophomore attack
Ri O'Connor. Pattinson would also score her second goal of the game this quarter, but the Thunder would jump ahead to a 15-5 lead at halftime.
Stringham would score twice more in the second half, ending the day with a career-high three goals. Despite her best efforts, the Thunder would go on to win 18-7.
