LIVONIA, Mich. – The Crusaders' Men's Soccer Team faced the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone University in a regular-season finale rematch to kick off the WHAC Men's Soccer Tournament on a windy Tuesday afternoon. The Crusaders took care of the Golden Eagles in their last meeting looking double down and move on to the next round. The Crusaders accomplished just that as they take down the Golden Eagles with a 4-0 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders strike with their first goal when
Ryota Nakajima capitalizes on a penalty kick at the 10:50 minute mark. Just a tad over ten minutes later,
Ryota Nakajima nets his second goal of the game when Andreas Gomez sets Nakajima up with a beautiful touch pass at the 21:13 minute mark. To finish up the scoring in the first half,
Jordy Lopez continued to put fear into the Cornerstone defense as he buries the ball into the goal in front while being assisted by
Hassan Alatooli and
Ren Suzuki at the 28:07 minute mark.
The Crusaders started the second half by gaining plenty of control trying to find their groove from the first half. Then at the 68:07 minute mark,
Hassan Alatooli sets up
Yan Brun with a textbook header to extend the Crusaders' lead to four goals. This would be the end of the scoring as the Crusaders post another dominating win to advance in the WHAC tournament.
