LIVONIA, Mich. - Coming off of their loss to Lourdes University, the Madonna Crusaders (2-4, 0-1) returned to ACCU Arena for their first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match of the 2024-25 season against the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles (3-3, 1-0). A rematch of last year's WHAC Championship game, the Golden Eagles would repeat history and take down the Crusaders in ACCU Arena, 79-67.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Nikola Sasaroga scored the game's first five points as the Crusaders got off to an early lead. They would remain in front of the Golden Eagles for the first ten minutes until the Golden Eagles tied it up at 13-13. Following this, the Golden Eagles would go on a run to end the half, taking a 39-28 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, the Crusaders would be unable to catch back up, as the Golden Eagles led for the entirety of the second half. They would go on to win 79-67 as the Crusaders fell to 0-2 in WHAC play.
