LIVONIA, Mich. – The #20 Madonna University Crusaders Men's Soccer Team traveled and took on the Rochester Christian University Warriors in a Wednesday early-afternoon matchup. The Crusaders continued their hot-streak with a win and extended their win-streak to seven games.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders continue their win-streak and put up another solid showing against the Rochester Christian Warriors. The Crusaders scored three goals in the win to move to 10-1-2 overall and 7-0-0 in the WHAC Conference.
The first goal came late in the first half when senior forward
Jordy Lopez sneaks the ball far-side on the Warrior goaltender assisted by Andreas Gomez to give the Crusaders a 1-0 lead at the 36:44 minute mark. The Crusaders took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Just shy of five minutes into the second half, senior forward,
Ryota Nakajima flies down the right side of the field and sneaks it short side for the Crusaders' second goal assisted by
Jordy Lopez at the 49:53 minute mark. Later in the game, the Crusaders notched their third and final goal of the game when sophomore forward,
Hassan Alatooli waits out the goaltender and scores with an assist from
Ryushin Hirami at the 83:43 minute mark. The Crusaders would walk out of Rochester with a strong 3-0 win over the Warriors.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Crusaders recorded 25 shots with ten of those shots being on goal.
- Jordy Lopez notched three points on the day with a goal and an assist.
- The Crusaders achieved their seventh shutout of the season.

The #20 Madonna University Men's Soccer Team will play next on Saturday October 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM when they take on the #18 Warriors of Indiana Tech at home for an exciting match up of two ranked teams!
