LIVONIA, Mich. – The Crusaders' Men's Soccer Team faced the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone University in the regular season finale of WHAC Conference play. The Crusaders were on mission today and achieved it with to the fullest. The Men's Soccer Team secured the regular season championship in today's game against Cornerstone with a commanding 5-0 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first half was the
Jordy Lopez show as he put on an impressive offensive showing by netting the first four goals of the game. Lopez scored at the following minute marks: 10:12, 12:13, 17:14, and 21:00. Assists on the goals came from Jhonnier Torres,
Ryota Nakajima,
Daniel Watkins, and
Yan Brun. The Crusaders took the 4-0 lead into halftime.
The final goal and cherry on top came by way of
Ryushin Hirami at the 57:50 minute mark assisted by
Ryota Nakajima. This would be the rest of the scoring as the Crusaders watched the clock count down to zero and celebrated as regular season champions.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jordy Lopez secures four goals on the day extending his team lead.
- Madonna recorded 20 shots with 11 being on goal.
- Ryota Nakajima notched two assists.
