LANSING, Mich. - Coming off a tough 83-65 loss to a dominant team from Ohio Christian University last week, the Madonna University Crusaders [5-5, 3-3] would prove to be triumphant over the Crusaders of Great Lakes Christian College [4-8. 0-0] in their last game of the 2023 year, securing an 87-77 win and moving their record to 6-5 overall.  
 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  
 

Madonna started off the game strong, leading 27-21 over the other Crusader team at the end of the first quarter. With just six points separating the two teams, Madonna would continue to dominate the rest of the game. Entering the second quarter Madonna would outscore Great Lakes Christian College 19-17, bringing the game score to 46-38 entering halftime.
  

The away Crusader team would remain victorious going into the second half of the match. With big plays from Kayiona Willis, Keairra Jennings, and Delani Robinson, Madonna would once again beat out the other Crusader team scoring wise, ending the third quarter with 25 points. Even though the home team managed to score 21 points in the fourth, their efforts would not be successful as Madonna would go on to win 87-77.  
 

• Robinson would put up 15 points on the day.  
• Willis recorded 13 points and two assists. 
• Aaliyah McQueen finished with a double-double, 12 points and 14 rebounds
