MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Madonna University women's soccer went on the road Saturday night and came away with a 0-0 tie against Mount Vernon Nazarene University. It is Madonna's first tie of the season as they move to 3-2-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The first half was for the most part a defensive stalemate, as the Crusaders and Cougars only combined for five shots. Mackenzie Fifer made one save for Madonna in goal, while Hannah Miller matched her with one save for MVNU. 

In the second half, Madonna out-shot MVNU 12-5. The Crusaders however were unable to find the back of the net. Veronica Kozak came in and made four saves for Madonna in the second half, while Miller kept the Cougars alive with five saves of her own. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Molly Cote led Madonna with four shots. 
• The Cougars were led by Savannah Zambory's four shots.
