Men's Lacrosse Unable to Overcome Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Madonna University men's lacrosse team suffered a 19-4 defeat at Indiana Tech on Saturday evening in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The teams traded goals in the first minute and a half. The Warriors scored the first goal of the contest just one minute in before Nick Bryden responded 27 seconds later to tie things at 1-1. From there however, the host Warriors went on a 7-0 run to take an 8-1 lead into the midway point of the second quarter. Vince Floro and Shane Alexander added goals for Madonna in the second period, but Indiana Tech was able to open up a 12-3 halftime lead. 

Indiana Tech continued to control the game in the second half, as Madonna scored once in the third period and was shut out in the fourth quarter. The Crusaders only second half goal came from Zachary Lane as the Warriors outscored Madonna 7-1 on their way to the victory.
