DEARBORN, Mich. - Madonna University women's basketball faced the University of Michigan-Dearborn Saturday afternoon. Dearborn would come out victorious with a final of 70-57.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

U of M Dearborn was celebrating senior day and the reopening of their home gym giving them extra motivation against the Crusaders. The Crusaders would come out strong though as they were only down 3 with 3:30 left in the first quarter before Dearborn would respond going on a 10-2 run to end the first quarter. Dearborn would keep that momentum going into the second quarter starting the second quarter on a 7-0 run before Paige Humerickhouse would start a run for the Crusaders, responding with their own 8-0 run to make it a 10 point game with 3:40 to go in the half. The Crusaders would enter halftime down just 8 thanks to a big half from Humerickhouse who scored 13 points in the first half.  In the second half, Ashley Hill and Delani Robinson would come alive and would help the Crusaders get it to as close as 9 in the second half but couldn't quite get themselves over the hump falling to a final score of 70-57.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Humerickhouse would lead all scorers with 19 pts. She also finished with 4 rebounds and 1 assist
• Robinson would finish with 16 pts and 2 rebounds
• Hill would finish with 11 pts, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist

Madonna returns home for the final three games of the season starting with Great Lakes Christian College on Monday, February 13th. Tip off is set for 5:30.
