LIVONIA, Mich. - Following their outstanding performances at the WHAC Cross Country Championships, Salah Ensaad and Mehdi Hamoud have been selected to represent the Madonna men's cross country team at the 2023 NAIA National Championships. This is the first time since 2019 the men's cross country program will be represented at Nationals, that year Tony Floyd finished in second place and earned All-American honors. 

At the WHAC Championships, both Hamoud and Ensaad finished in the top five to earn All-WHAC honors. Mehdi finished in second place individually with an 8k time of 25:27.8, while Ensaad was fourth with a time of 25:33.7. Along with being named First Team All-WHAC, Hamoud was named the WHAC Newcomer of the Year for his performance. 

The NAIA Cross Country Championships will be held on Friday, November 17th in Vancouver, Washington at the Fort Vancouver Historical Course. The women will race first at 1:30 PM EST/10:30 AM PST, followed by the men's race at 2:30 PM EST/11:30 AM PST.
