Crusaders Fall to the Blue Devils

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. –  Madonna University's Women's Basketball Team took a tough loss at Lawrence Tech University falling 61-50 on Saturday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders found themselves down early in the first quarter as Lawrence Tech opened the game on an 11-0 run but the Crusaders were able to fight back and get it to within 5 at the end of the first as they would go into the second quarter down 18-13. The Crusaders would find a lid on the rim in the second quarter as they were only able to put up 12 points in the quarter while Lawrence Tech put up 25 to take a 43-25 lead going into halftime. The Crusaders were unable to climb back from the deficit and would fall to the Blue Devils 83-45.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Marcela Rodriguez would lead in scoring for the Crusaders with 12 points. She also had 2 rebounds and 3 assists. 
  • Delani Robinson would score 11 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
  • JaC'ana Anderson would finish with 9 points and 4 rebounds.

UP NEXT
The Crusaders will be back at home to face the University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday, February 1st. Tip off is set for 5:30 pm.
