LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University men's soccer team stayed hot with their sixth-straight victory on Wednesday afternoon over the Cleary University Cougars in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match. The Crusaders came away with a 1-0 victory in front of the home crowd at the Madonna Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The game was scoreless until the 24th minute, when Alexander Zaleczny found the back of the net off an assist by Wagner Gamerio. 

It ended up being the only goal of the game as Madonna shut down Cleary offensively and earned the victory. The Crusaders improved their record to 7-0-1 on the season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
 

• Madonna outshot Cleary 23-5, while the Crusaders had 12 shots on goal compared to the Cougars three.
• The Crusaders took five corner kicks while the Cougars had only one. 
• Cleary picked up two yellow cards, while Madonna had one. 
• Youssou Ouendeno had three saves for Madonna.
