Nakajima's Late Goal Helps Madonna Tie Down in Kentucky

GEORGETOWN, Ky. –  Madonna University's Men's Soccer Team program posted a 1-1 tie with Georgetown College on Saturday night at Toyota Stadium in Georgetown, Kentucky.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Tigers were the ones to strike first, getting a goal late in the first half from Lucas Cadiz as he scored in the 44th minute. Now down one to start the second half, the Crusaders needed an answer and fought to put pressure on the Tiger defense. Their persistence would pay off as the Crusaders were able to get a goal from Ryota Nakajima at the 79:16 mark that would tie the game at 1-1.  This is where the game would end, as the Crusaders were able to fight back for the 1-1 tie in their second contest this season putting them at 1-0-1 overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • This was a physical game as both teams would combine for over 21 fouls.
  • The Tigers led in most of the statistical categories outshooting the Crusaders 15-9 and having four corner kicks to the Crusaders three.
