Cross Country Concludes Season at WHAC Championships

SYLVANIA, Ohio - The Madonna University cross country teams ended their season at the WHAC Championship meet on Friday from the Ottawa Park Golf Course. The women finished seventh in the team standings with 206 points, while the men also finished seventh with 190 points. Cornerstone University won both team titles. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Leading the Crusader men was Alex Schlueter in 27th place with an 8k time of 27:25.16, behind him was Cameron Kruse in 32nd place with a time of 27:36.66. Andrew Langkam was next to cross the line in 53rd place in 28:41.99, while Sean Massa was 62nd in 29:02.41. Jonathon Boland completed the scoring in 78th place with a time of 30:01.06. 

Rose Paoletti led the women's team in 26th place with a time of 20:42.51 for 5k, while Elizabeth Dancey was 50th in 21:32.37 and Whitney Ricks 51st in 21:32.79. Izzie Lashaway crossed the line in 63rd place in 22:09.06. Samantha Rousseau completed the scoring for Madonna by finishing 79th with a time of 23:38.83. 

UP NEXT:

This concludes the Crusaders cross country season, indoor track is set to begin on Saturday, December 3rd, with a meet at Saginaw Valley State University.
