CALDWELL, Id. – The Crusaders' Men's Basketball team was back in action at the Taco Bell Shootout for a matchup against the No.4 ranked Yotes of the College of Idaho and the Crusaders would lose steam in the second half as Madonna fell 82-68.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Crusaders struggled early against the Yotes zone defense, starting 1-9 from the field, and fell into a 14-2 deficit. The Crusaders were able to slowly claw away at the Yotes' lead as by Brendan Young, and Devin Dunn knocked down three triples in a row cutting the deficit to 30-24. Madonna would get into foul trouble but despite that, only found themselves down 38-27 at the break. 
In the second half, it started out more of the same as a back-and-forth game. Young would score 18 points in the second half but it wasn't enough as the Yotes shot over 51% in the game and the Crusaders would fall 82-68

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Young led the Crusaders with 31 points and 17 rebounds
• Madonna was 9-28 (32.1%) from distance
• Crusaders were out rebounded 38-35

The Crusaders will be back in action Wednesday, November 30 as they travel to Adrian, Mich. to take on the Saints of Siena Heights University at 7:30 PM at Siena Heights Fieldhouse.
