LIVONIA, Mich - The Madonna women's basketball program continued to try and help their young team find its footing in their 78-36 loss to the No. 24 Indiana Tech Warriors in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) matchup at Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Crusaders got off to a slow start in the first quarter, shooting only 25 percent from the field. A three-pointer by Sarah Tanderys helped give them some momentum. They did play well on defense, holding the Warriors to only 14 points in the first quarter. The Crusaders were able to pick up the pace in the second half, but so were the Warriors. The teams entered halftime with a score of 35-18 Warriors. The Warriors dominated the second half, outscoring the Crusaders 43-18 to secure the 78-36 victory.

• Four Madonna players: Tanderys, Paige Humerickhouse, Marcelia Rodriguez, and Brooklyn Ragland tied as the team's leading scorers
• The Crusaders recorded three blocks as a team against the Warriors
