LIVONIA, Mich. –  The Madonna University's Women's Soccer Team fought hard for a 2-1 victory over Siena Heights University on Saturday evening to get their second win in a row and their 4th win out of their last 5 games. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders found themselves in a battle Saturday evening against the Saints but would get over the hump to take home the victory. The Saints would strike first off a goal from Erin Tyson in the 17th minute and the Crusaders would go into halftime down 1-0, but that would not stand for very long. Two minutes into the second half the Crusaders would get their first goal from Vitoria Sia to tie the game up at 1-1. Madonna would then get the final goal of the game with just over 2 minutes left in the game off of a header from Morgan Stack from a beautiful bicycle pass by Olivia Brannon.  The Crusaders would hold that lead for the final minutes and come out with a 2-1 victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Crusaders outshot the Saints 12-6 
• The Crusaders would also have more shots on goal than the Saints 5-3

The Crusaders will be on the road for their next 3 matchups starting with a trip to Ann Arbor to take on Concordia University (Mich.). Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm
