ANN ARBOR, Mich. –  The Madonna University's Women's Soccer Team controlled much of the game in their 3-0 victory over Concordia University on Wednesday afternoon to get their third win in a row and their 5th win out of their last 6 games. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders have started to catch their stride these last few games and were able to  find the back of the net 3 times this afternoon.  Although, going into halftime the Crusaders were still in a 0-0 tie. It wasn't until the second half that the Crusaders started to get hot. It started with a goal off of a PK only 30 seconds into the second half from Holly McManus scoring her 4th goal of the season and giving the Crusaders a 1-0 lead. The Crusaders would strike again in the 67th minute off the foot of Abby Werthman who dribbled her way through the Cardinal defense for her 3rd goal of the season and gave the Crusaders a 2-0 lead. But Abby was not done yet. Werthman would strike again in the 73rd minute with the assistance of Olivia Brannon for her 4th goal of the season and lead the Crusaders to the 3-0 victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Crusaders outshot the Cardinals 19-4 
• Brooke Bruletti had 2 saves on the day which are all the shots she faced
• The teams were even in corners with 4 a piece

UP NEXT
The Crusaders will be on the road again as they travel to Rochester Hills for a matchup against Rochester University on Saturday, October 15. Kickoff is set for 11:00 am
