Crusaders Cruise Past Cardinals 6-1

LIVONIA, MICH. -- The Madonna Crusaders men's soccer team delivered a 6-1 victory against Concordia University on Wednesday afternoon at the Madonna Athletic Complex.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
 
The Crusaders wasted no time in the first half scoring in the first four minutes of the game with a goal by Leonardo Abonizo assisted by Ryota Nakajima. Then in the 12th minute the Crusaders would find the net again with a goal by Ren Suzuki. In the second half the Crusaders scored four more goals past the Cardinals goalie. The Cardinals would answer with one goal at the 55th minute by Bryce Ferrin however it wasn't enough to defeat the Crusaders as they post a 6-1 victory. 
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 
  • Madonna outshot the Cardinals 28-2 and 14-2 in shots on goal.  
  • The Crusaders took 11 corner kicks 
UP NEXT: 
 
The Crusaders will be on the road on Saturday, October 15 where they'll face Rochester University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
