FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Madonna University Women's Basketball traveled to Fort Wayne and fell 67-49 against No.12 Indiana Tech Warriors.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first quarter, the Crusaders seemed to have come out of their shooting slump as they shot 40%. Also, Paige Boden had four blocks in the first and with that, became the Crusaders all-time blocks leader passing Becca Sabol with 146 career blocks. However, Madonna still trailed 13-9 after one.

In the second, the Warriors went on to extend their lead even more by shooting 40% from distance. Madonna's shooting troubles returned, Tech was playing great defense as the Crusaders went 2-11 from the field. At the half, the Crusaders found themselves trailing 31-18.

In the second half, the Crusaders shot the ball well from three, shooting 42.8%. However, with the Warriors shooting 51.7% from the field and 66.7% from three in the second half, it would be hard for the Crusaders to catch up. Sarah Tanderys would knock down a three with 18 seconds left, but it did not make much of a difference as Madonna would fall 67-49.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 
 

• Boden would finish with six blocks and seven rebounds on the way to becoming Madonna's all-time blocks leader
• Megan Aho finished with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals
• Sharon Woodard finished with 11 points, and two rebounds
• April Hudelson finished with 10 points and seven rebounds

The Crusaders will have a short turnaround as they will finally be back home at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union for a contest against the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
