Game 3 vs Viterbo, L 0-3

HOW IT HAPPENED

The No. 13 ranked V-Hawks took leads in all three sets to finish out the match giving Madonna the 3-0 loss.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Jodie Kelly took a team-high in kills and blocks with six-a-piece.

Game 4 vs St Thomas (Fla.), W 3-2

HOW IT HAPPENED

Bobcats bounced off to a 11-3 run early in the first before Madonna roared back starting with a strong kill by DJ Sargent before she and Kacie Stoneburner held steadfast on the block to turn the tide en route to a 25-23 first set win.

Both teams exchanged blows in the second set as Molly Miller and an attacking error by STU sealed the extended 27-25 victory of the second set. The Bobcats stole the next two as the Crusaders narrowly avoided the fifth set force in the fourth, losing 25-23.

The fifth, and final, set of the day saw Madonna jump out ahead 5-0 behind a few errors by St. Thomas and a kill by Kelly. STU was able to drop in a few points here-and-there before Kelly, Jaeda Porter, Stoneburner, and Miller finished the day for the Crusaders' first win of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Madonna scored less total points than St. Thomas but were still able to come away with the win behind the efforts of Miller, Stoneburner, and Kelly dishing double-digit kills. Jordyn Dawson also tallied 27 assists.
