ROSSFORD, Ohio– The Madonna University women's soccer team traveled to Ohio to get a game in against the Cougars of Spring Arbor University.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Cougars were able to get the scoring started in the 13th minute as Lauren Marshall scored and got the Cougars game going. Only a couple minutes later Spring Arbor had a corner kick in which they were able to get a ball past the Crusaders defense.
- The Crusaders first shot came in the 22nd minute off of the foot of Sydnie Voss.
- The final Cougars goal in the first half came in the 30th minute when Madison Marshall was able to beat the Madonna goalie to the far side of the net.
- The fourth and final Spring Arbor goal came in the 72nd minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Cougars led the shots category 23-2 and also in the shots on goal 11-2.
- Madonna goalie Brooke Bruletti had seven saves on the afternoon.
UP NEXT
- The Crusaders will be back on the pitch on Friday February 26 when they continue with the conference season against Cornerstone University beginning with an 11 AM kickoff.
