LIVONIA, Mich. -- Madonna University's Women's Basketball team was back home at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena for their Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opener and fell 64-60 against Siena Heights University (Mich.) Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Both teams came out a little slow to start the first, it wasn't until three minutes into the game when the Crusaders made their first basket which was a three-pointer by Naomi Davis. The Crusaders were able to keep the first quarter close by only being down 16-13 after one.

In the third, the Saints carried their momentum over from the first half and extended their lead to 19. With 4:04 remaining in the third, the Crusaders stepped up their game on both ends and were ready to make yet another comeback.

To start the fourth, the Crusaders were down 53-35, as April Hudelson and Megan Aho led the comeback for Madonna. The Crusaders would go on a 21-5 run to close Siena's lead down to two points with just over one minute left in the game.
