This will be the season opener for the Crusaders, as they look to improve upon a 6-22 from last season. The Crusaders return three of their five starters from last season.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Indiana Wesleyan will be opening up their home 2020-21 campaign after starting their season at the Indiana Tech Classic this past weekend. The Wildcats (2-0), who left the classic with two 20-point victories, are led so far in the season by Jordan Reid scoring 13.5 points per game.

THINGS OF NOTE

This is the first test of the season for the Crusaders. A double-overtime victory last year sealed the victory for Madonna as it comes off a 25-9 overall record and an NAIA Tournament appearance, returning two of five top scorers. 

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

The Wildcats are slated No. 3 in the nation in the inaugural, single-division NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll. Last year, IWU was tied for No. 2 in the NAIA Division II poll before falling in Livonia that December. After topping No. 17 Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) by 35-points on October 27, IWU hosted the Crossroads League-WHAC Challenge in Lucky Arena over the weekend beating receiving votes Cornerstone University (Mich.) and receiving votes and WHAC favorite Indiana Tech University 107-80 and 97-88, respectively.

THINGS OF NOTE

Madonna has fallen to Judson twice in its two-meeting history by a combined total of five points, the first coming in 2008 in Elgin. This will also be the first-ever home game at the new Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena as part of the 2020 Bernie Holowicki Classic presented by Hampton Inn Detroit/Northville as it plays host to Judson, Graceland University (Iowa), and Lawrence Technological University (Mich.).

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

This is the first game for the Eagles. Last year, Madonna was ranked No. 9 when it fell to JU. Judson went on to finish 7-23 overall with a 6-16 record in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Madonna was its lone out-of-conference win

As its second game in the 2020 Bernie Holowicki Classic, Madonna will play the Yellowjackets after its Friday night showdown against Judson.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Graceland returns to play Saturday after its Friday match against Lawrence Tech. The Yellowjackets are projected twelfth in the Heartland of America Athletic Conference preseason poll after a 9-21 finish in 2019-20.
