LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The Madonna University men's lacrosse team found themselves trailing early in the contest, although that did not last long as they continued on to win the next three quarters and ultimately the game. The Crusaders improve to 5-0 on the season while the Spires fall to 1-3.

TURNING POINT

• A 6-goal run for the Crusaders that spanned from the 3:57 mark of the second quarter to the 1:53 mark of the third quarter

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Anthony Salamone tallied a team high six goals

• Tyler Kilar (3), Ian Rush (2) and Harry Dyson (3) did the remainder of the scoring for MU

• The Crusaders found themselves trailing 6-3 early in the second quarter before a 7-1 swing put the Blue and Gold ahead 10-7

• Goals by Dyson and rush late in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for USM

BY THE NUMBERS

• MU out-shot Saint Mary 36-29 and sent 29 on goal

• Tyler Dohmeier continues to shine in net for the Crusaders, stopping 12 shots in his 60 minutes of play

• Madonna was able to control 15-of-25 draw controls in the contest, also picking up 28 ground balls compared to 25 for the opposition
