LIVONIA, Mich.– The second-seeded Madonna University men's basketball team is preparing for their Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Quarterfinal matchup hosting seventh-seeded Lawrence Technological University on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Because it is a WHAC tournament contest, there will be no pass lists. Adults will be charged $7, while students and seniors (8 years old through college and over 60) will cost $5 while all children under age 8 will be admitted free of charge. The first 50 Madonna University students to show their ID at the gate will receive free admission as well courtesy of the men's basketball program.

Madonna received the second seed after winning a tiebreaker with Indiana Tech based on head-to-head record. Lawrence Tech also received a higher seed due to a tiebreaker with University of Michigan-Dearborn based on a win over Madonna earlier in the season.

Both teams have a win against each other this season, with Lawrence Tech taking the 77-68 win at Madonna back in November and the Blue and Gold winning on the road 81-52 in January. Madonna has a 22-8 overall record with a 15-5 record in conference. Lawrence Tech is 13-16 overall with a conference record of 8-12. Madonna has won the conference tournament once back in their 2012-13 season, while Lawrence Tech is seeking their first.

Cornerstone has already claimed the first automatic berth into the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship by claiming the regular season conference championship, so the winner of the tournament will claim the second automatic berth.

The winner of the game will move on to the semifinals to face off against the winner of No. 6 Lourdes vs. No. 3 Indiana Tech on Feb 23 at the higher seed's location. For the full bracket, click here.
