  • In his time with Howell, Pezzoni had a record of 197-43-3 in six seasons. The Highlanders were the state Division 1 runners-up in 2019, reached the state semifinals in 2018, and won five district and two regional championships.
    As a Player:
  • Played College Baseball at Eastern Kentucky University. Became a member of the All-Century Team.
  • Was signed as an undrafted free agent to the Seattle Mariners minor league team (1990).
  • Was traded to the San Francisco Giants minor league team in 1993.
  • Overall, Pezzoni batted .273 BA /.333 OBP/.357 SLG with 480 hits and 88 stolen bases in 506 games.

Both teams/programs have seen tremendous amounts of success with Pezzoni at the helm. Pezzoni helped lead the Crusaders to a 9-1 start in 2022 as the assistant before being promoted to head coach. Madonna in the end finished 31-9 overall and 18-4 in the WHAC.  The Crusaders won the WHAC regular season title and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament under Pezzoni. Maeson Schlaud was named WHAC Pitcher of the Year, and Veronica Pezzoni was named WHAC Player of the Year. Under Coach Pezzoni, Schlaud and Veronica Pezzoni were named First Team All-Conference along with Katie Popko and Bailey Martin. Chylece Cluck earned All-WHAC Second Team honors, while Popko was named WHAC All-Defensive. Coach Pezzoni also had an NAIA All-American in Maeson Schalud during the 2022 season, as she earned Honorable Mention All-American. 

In 2021 as an assistant, he helped the Crusaders to a 34-11 record and 15-3 mark in WHAC play. The Crusaders advanced to the WHAC Tournament Final and NAIA World Series, where they won a game over Olivet Nazarene University before being eliminated by Bethany College.Â
