Madonna Finishes Fifth at WHAC Championship Meet

The Madonna University Competitive Dance team closed out its conference season Saturday at the WHAC Championship Meet held at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., competing against some of the top programs in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Madonna opened the competition in the preliminary round with a score of 85.46, looking to gain some ground in the finals event later on. The Crusaders returned to the floor and improved their performance, posting an 87.63 in the finals before finishing with a final score 87.09. Madonna ultimately placed fifth overall in the conference championship standings.

Throughout the meet, the Crusaders showcased strong technique, sharp execution, and high-energy choreography that highlighted the team's continued growth throughout the season. Competing against a talented conference field that included Aquinas, Siena Heights, Marian, Lourdes, and Indiana Tech, Madonna delivered a confident performance on the championship stage. Aquinas would take home the WHAC Championship for the 2026 season.

The WHAC Championship meet marks the conclusion of the conference portion of the season for the Crusaders. Madonna will look to build on the experience gained at the championship as the program continues to develop and push forward in future competitions.
