LIVONIA, Mich.-- In a challenging soccer clash on a sunny afternoon in Livonia, Mich., the Madonna University Crusaders faced off against Indiana University Northwest. The Crusaders also celebrated their five seniors in

HOW IT HAPPENED:
From the outset, Indiana Northwest displayed strong offensive skills. Xiomara Santana initiated the lead by scoring a crucial goal at 7:46, setting a positive tone for her team. Continuing this momentum, Erin Harrison further advanced their lead by scoring a second goal at 23:04. These key moments were pivotal, as Indiana Northwest built a 2-0 lead by halftime, which they successfully protected until the end of the match. The Crusaders had a chance to tie the game at one in the 20th minute but were hit with an unfortunate hand ball, waving off the goal and leaving Northwest with the lead.
Despite their efforts to recover in the second half, the Crusaders were unable to penetrate Indiana Northwest's defenses. The match concluded with the same scoreline established at halftime, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Indiana Northwest.Â
