LIVONIA, MICH.-- On September 3, 2025, the Madonna University Crusaders Soccer team battled Saint Francis (IN) in a challenging contest at Livonia, Mich. under rainy weather conditions. The game, marked by strong defenses, saw the halftime score locked at 0-0 but it would be the Cougars on top in a 2-0 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

Despite numerous offensive efforts, the Crusaders were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. The team outshot Saint Francis 10-5, with 8 shots on target, showcasing their offensive persistence despite failing to score. On the other end, Saint Francis found their breakthrough in the second half with Grace Hein and Grace Preston each scoring a goal, leading to a final score of 0-2 in favor of Saint Francis.

The next challenge for Madonna University is scheduled for September 9, 2025, against Adrian College in Adrian, Mich. The Crusaders, holding a current record of 1-2-1, are looking to rebound and secure a victory in their upcoming confrontation. Kick off is set for 4:00 PM.
