The game began strongly for Siena Heights, with Parker Cheney striking twice to give the Saints an early lead. However, the Crusaders, determined not to let the game slip away, responded forcefully. Emma Seifert and Rylie Cassette scored for Madonna, with Marlena Ballnik setting up one of the goals. The halftime score reflected a tense matchup with Siena Heights leading 2-1.
