Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Crusaders hit the road for the first of five straight away games, not returning home until November 9th. Heading down to Indiana, they were set to face the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars. The Cougars would shut down the Crusaders, taking a 70-7 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Cougars would drive down the field and score on their opening drive, taking an early 7-0 lead. Following the extra-point, the Crusaders would get the ball back and begin to piece together a drive of their own. However, their efforts would end in a blocked field goal attempt, left without any points to show for it. The Cougars would score quickly on their next drive, extending their lead to 13-0.

Coming out in the second quarter, the Crusaders' defense came out with a newfound aggression. Following a big sack by Sam Bauer, they would force a punt to get the ball back. However, the Crusaders would fail to capitalize, punting the ball away themselves. Following a quick Cougars' score, the Crusaders would get the ball back nearing the end of the second quarter. After putting together a 67-yard drive, the Crusaders would get all the way down to the Cougars eight yard line, but would sadly turn it over on downs. The Cougars would score twice in the final minute of the half, extending their lead to 35-0 at the break.

The Crusaders opened up the second half with a first-play sack from defensive end Tommy Larson. Their good start would be short lived though, as the Cougars answered with a 54-yard touchdown to extend their lead to 43-0. Saint Francis would tack on three more scores, making it 63-0 heading into the final quarter.

Quarterback Max Morris would come in for the Crusaders, relieving Taurean Singletary who would end his afternoon 13-29 with two interceptions. On his first drive, Morris would lead the offense inside the Cougar ten-yard line with a deep pass to wide receiver Imarion Kelly. On the next play, Morris would finally get the Crusaders on the board with a touchdown pass to fullback Parker Heidt. That score marks Heidt's fifth total touchdown of the season. With the extra point from kicker William Stoyanovich, the Crusaders were now on the board with a score of 63-7.

The Cougars would tack on one more score before the end of the game to take a 70-7 victory.
